Token Graduation on Robinhood Chain

Nock Terminal Editorial Team

Graduation on a Robinhood Chain (chain ID 4663) launchpad is the moment a bonding-curve pool converts to a standard Uniswap v4 pool. The launchpad's contract takes the paired asset accumulated during the curve phase, pairs it with a portion of the token supply, opens a real Uniswap v4 pool, and — depending on the venue — burns or locks the resulting LP position. From that transaction onward, the token trades on the same rails as any other chain-4663 token.

Graduation matters because it changes who can trade the token and how price is set. Hook-gated behaviour goes away, third-party routers and bots become active, and price discovery moves from a deterministic curve to a constant-product reserve driven by supply and demand. Every launch that uses a bonding curve has to design for what happens at t=graduation, not just at t=0.

The graduation transaction

On Blockscout, graduation appears as a single transaction (or a small batch) from the launchpad contract: it seeds the Uniswap v4 pool, moves the accumulated ETH in, and mints the LP position. The pool address created at graduation is the address every screener and router will use afterwards.

What changes for buyers

Before graduation, only the launchpad's UI or router can trade the token. After graduation, any wallet can swap through Uniswap v4 routers, and the pool starts appearing in generic screeners. Price behaviour usually discontinuities at the transition because the curve price and the seeded pool price rarely match perfectly.

Limitations

Graduation is not a guarantee of continued trading. Many tokens graduate and then trade thinly; others crash the first block after graduation as curve-phase buyers take profits into fresh LP. The event is a mechanical transition, not a promise of market outcome.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find the graduated pool address? Open the token contract on Blockscout and look at token transfers around the graduation transaction; the new Uniswap v4 pool address is the counterparty for the seeded liquidity movement. Do bots start trading immediately after graduation? They can — hooks that gated the curve phase no longer apply — but latency, routing and MEV all decide who actually lands the first swaps. There is no rule that the earliest post-graduation buy wins. Is graduation reversible? No. The pool is a normal Uniswap v4 pool afterwards, and the launchpad's curve phase is over. LP treatment (burn vs lock) applies to the newly seeded LP, not to the earlier curve state.
